Dr Michael McGee Cardiologist

Dr McGee grew up in Walgett, NSW before completing his studies in biomedical science and medicine at Newcastle and Canberra.

After graduating from the Australian National University in 2011, Dr McGee completed his internship in Orange NSW, and adult internal medicine training at John Hunter Hospital, Newcastle. He completed Cardiology training at The John Hunter Hospital, Newcastle including a cardiovascular device fellowship in 2019.

Dr Shawn Kelly Cardiologist

Dr Kelly is an experienced interventional cardiologist, who also provides extensive diagnostic imaging services including exercise stress test, exercise stress echocardiography, transthoracic echocardiogram, transoesophageal echocardiogram, diagnostic left and right cardiac catheterisations and percutaneous coronary interventions.

His special areas of interest include valvular heart disease, and ischaemic heart disease.

Dr Kelly is also commencing work as an interventional cardiologist and general physician at Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital.

Dr Lynn Khor Cardiologist

Dr. Lynn Khor is an experienced cardiologist who specialises in advanced heart imaging and treating complex heart conditions. After completing her training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Dr. Khor has focused much of her career on understanding and treating heart conditions that affect women, particularly ischaemia with No Obstructive Coronary Arteries (INOCA).

Alison Senior Cardiac Physiologist

Alison completed a Bachelors degree in Exercise Science at the UOW in 1999. Alison previously worked at Westmead where she was involved with cardiac device programming, the cardiac cathlab and assisting in EP studies. She moved to Concord in 2004 where she began to study echocardiography. In 2009 she completed a graduate certificate in cardiac ultrasound. In 2022 she achieved a passing score in the Certified Cardiac Device Specialist (CCDS) exam through the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners. 

Allyson Cardiac Sonographer

Allyson completed her Bachelor of Medical Science (Clinical Physiology) in 2008 at CSU. She commenced working at Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital in 2007 and studied a Diploma of Cardiac Ultrasound through QUT graduating in 2015. Allyson works in the private rooms twice a week and travels to Inverell to assist Dr McGee with the MOICD clinic.

Laura has been at the practice for 5 years. With18 years experience in the health industry she has worked for a variety of specialists as well as different roles at John Flynn Hospital, Hollywood Private Hospital and St Vincent's Hospital.
